With a pool, games court and a fabulous outdoor dining area, you’d be forgiven for not venturing beyond the boundary of the villa. The facilities and grounds are truly stunning with unforgettable views, even boasting a small vineyard.
Outdoor Facilities
POOL
Our 11 x 6 metre pool is surrounded by fruit trees, vines and palms, giving plenty of shade, and has been designed to ensure a fine view over the valley and yet still provide maximum privacy. A large hand-laid ‘calcada’ (Portuguese mosaic) sun bathing area, loungers and umbrellas complete the picture. Beach towels are provided for use when around the pool.
GROUNDS
At the villa you will have the benefit of a full size hard surface tennis court. We have various rackets for you to utilise, but if you have your own equipment please do bring it. As an alternative to the tennis, the court can be adapted for basketball, netball and 5-a-side football.
DINING
Many Portuguese will take every opportunity to enjoy the excellent weather of the region, so BBQ’s, river beach picnics and evening meals under the open skies are always popular. In addition to the gardens and poolside lounging areas, we have a semi enclosed private quarter with garden chairs and swing, a comprehensive covered barbecue facility along with a polished stone table and seating under the fragrant tilia trees.
